Three Roots. One Powerful Cup.
Thirikaduga is one of the oldest and most revered formulations in Siddha medicine. The name itself tells the story — Thiri meaning three, kaduga meaning pungents. Three ingredients. Three purposes. One deeply healing cup.
Sukku (dry ginger), Milagu (black pepper), and Thipili (long pepper) — each powerful on its own, extraordinary together. This is not just a tea. It is a tradition that has been passed down through generations of Tamil households as a first line of defence against illness, fatigue, and imbalance.
The Three Pillars
- Sukku (Dry Ginger) — kindles digestive fire, relieves bloating, warms the body from within, and eases respiratory congestion
- Milagu (Black Pepper) — enhances bioavailability of other herbs, clears mucus, and supports lung health
- Thipili (Long Pepper) — a rare and potent herb that strengthens immunity, improves metabolism, and rejuvenates the respiratory system
Why Thirikaduga Tea?
- Boosts immunity — a trusted Siddha remedy during seasonal changes and infections
- Clears respiratory congestion — naturally relieves cough, cold, and throat irritation
- Aids digestion — stimulates digestive enzymes and reduces bloating and gas
- Caffeine-free — safe for daily consumption at any time of day
- No additives — pure three-herb blend, nothing more
How to Brew
Add 1 teaspoon of Thirikaduga Tea powder to 200ml of boiling water. Simmer for 3–5 minutes and strain. Sweeten with honey or palm jaggery. Drink warm, once or twice daily — especially effective first thing in the morning or before bed during cold and flu season.
Three ingredients. Centuries of wisdom. The Nattrinai way.
