The Golden Flower of Tamil Wellness
Aavarampoo — the bright yellow blossoms of the Tanner's Cassia plant — has been celebrated in Tamil Siddha medicine for centuries. Ancient Tamil literature praised it for its beauty and its healing. Thiruvalluvar wrote of it. Village healers relied on it. And today, it finds its way into your cup as one of the most gentle yet effective herbal teas in the South Indian tradition.
This is not just a pretty flower. It is a powerhouse of natural medicine.
Why Aavarampoo Tea?
- Blood sugar support — one of the most well-known traditional uses of Aavarampoo is its ability to help regulate blood glucose levels naturally
- Skin health — rich in tannins and antioxidants, it is traditionally used to improve skin tone, reduce blemishes, and promote a natural glow
- Kidney & urinary health — a natural diuretic that supports kidney function and helps prevent urinary tract infections
- Liver detox — supports liver health and aids in the elimination of toxins from the body
- Heart health — helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels and supports cardiovascular function
- Caffeine-free — gentle enough for daily use, suitable for all ages
How to Brew
Add 1 teaspoon of dried Aavarampoo to 200ml of boiling water. Steep for 5 minutes and strain. Drink warm without milk. A touch of honey or palm jaggery can be added for sweetness. Best consumed in the morning on an empty stomach or between meals for maximum benefit.
