Arappu — known widely as Shikakai — is one of the oldest and most trusted hair care herbs in the South Indian tradition. Its name literally means "fruit for hair" in Tamil, and for good reason. For generations, Tamil women have used Arappu to wash, strengthen, and nourish their hair — long before the first bottle of shampoo ever existed.

Nattrinai's Arappu is sourced from genuine Shikakai pods, dried and ground to a fine powder that retains the full potency of the herb. No fillers, no synthetic additives — just pure Arappu, the way it has always been used.

How to Use

Mix 2–3 tablespoons of Arappu powder with warm water to form a smooth paste. Apply to wet hair and scalp, massage gently for 2–3 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. For best results, combine with Seeyakai (soapnut) powder and Amla powder for a complete traditional hair wash.

Can also be used as a hair mask — mix with coconut milk or curd, apply to hair, leave for 20–30 minutes, and rinse. Available in 1/4kg and 1/2kg.
