Colour Your Hair. Not Your Health.
Most commercial hair dyes come with a long list of chemicals — ammonia, PPD, resorcinol, hydrogen peroxide — ingredients that colour your hair while quietly damaging it. Nattrinai's Natural Hair Dye takes a different approach entirely. Rooted in the traditional herbal hair care practices of Tamil Nadu, it colours, conditions, and nourishes your hair all at once, using only what nature provides.
No harsh chemicals. No scalp burns. No compromise on your health.
Key Ingredients & Their Role
- Henna (Mehndi) — the base colourant that imparts rich reddish-brown tones while strengthening the hair shaft and adding shine
- Indigo (Avuri) — combined with henna to achieve deeper brown to black tones naturally
- Amla (Nelli) — rich in Vitamin C, strengthens roots, prevents premature greying, and adds lustre
- Brahmi — nourishes the scalp, reduces hair fall, and promotes healthy hair growth
- Shikakai — cleanses the scalp gently while conditioning the hair from root to tip
Why Natural Hair Dye?
- Chemical-free colouring — no ammonia, no PPD, no peroxide — safe for sensitive scalps
- Conditions while it colours — leaves hair softer, shinier, and more manageable after every use
- Covers grey effectively — provides natural, even coverage of grey hair
- Strengthens hair — reduces breakage and hair fall with regular use
- Safe for long-term use — no cumulative chemical damage, suitable for frequent application
How to Use
Mix the required amount of Natural Hair Dye powder with warm water or black tea to form a smooth, lump-free paste. Apply evenly to clean, dry hair from roots to tips using a brush. Cover with a shower cap and leave for 1–2 hours depending on desired colour intensity. Rinse thoroughly with water — do not use shampoo immediately after. For darker shades, a two-step process using henna first, followed by indigo, is recommended.
Perform a patch test 24 hours before first use.
Colour from nature. Care from tradition. The Nattrinai way.
