Kodam Puli (Gamboge / Kudampuli) is the dried rind of the Garcinia cambogia fruit — the primary souring agent in Kerala fish curries and some Tamil coastal dishes. It has a distinct, fruity-sour flavour completely different from tamarind. Also studied for its hydroxycitric acid (HCA) content linked to appetite suppression and weight management. Chemical-free and naturally dried.
