Manathakkali Vathal is sun-dried Black Nightshade berries — one of the most medicinally significant vathal in Siddha tradition, used for treating mouth ulcers, stomach ulcers, and digestive disorders. Available in Salt and Unsalted varieties. Deep fry until crispy for a medicinal accompaniment to curd rice, or add to Vathal Kuzhambu for a deeply complex, slightly bitter flavour.
