Nelli Vathal is sun-dried Indian Gooseberry (Amla) — one of the richest natural sources of Vitamin C preserved through traditional sun-drying. Deep fry until slightly puffed for a tangy, crunchy accompaniment to curd rice or kanji. Also used in Vathal Kuzhambu for a complex sour-bitter flavour. Chemical-free, traditionally prepared without artificial preservatives.
