Thuvaram Paruppu (Toor Dal) is the most essential dal in Tamil Nadu cooking — the foundation of sambar, rasam, and dal rice. Available in standard Thuvaram Paruppu and the premium Man Thuvaramparuppu — a traditional clay-pot grown variety with a richer, more complex flavour. Both are chemical-free and free from the oil coating used in commercial toor dal. The Man variety is especially prized for its earthy depth and superior taste.
